- Domestic Violence and abuse can affect any woman
- One woman in four will experience domestic violence in their lifetime
- Two women a week are killed by domestic violence
- Less than half of all domestic violence incidents are reported to the Police
- Domestic Violence and Abuse can be physical, sexual, psychological, emotional and financial….it can be any or all of these things
- Women may experience domestic violence and abuse regardless of ethnicity, religion, class, age, sexuality, disability or lifestyle
- Children and young people are often caught up in households where domestic violence and abuse occurs
- In 80% of cases children are in the same or next room
